The apprenticeship program is designed for artisans and apprentices who wish to own a business of their own. The program will operate a concurrent arrangement of classroom and workshop training to trainees, and it will run for a period of one year. All trainees of the apprenticeship program will be expected to have their work tools for workshop training.
The institute will collaborate with established companies such as engineering, mechanical, automobile, telecoms, electrical, furniture, electronic, construction, metal fabrication, tailoring, beautician, confectionary, restaurant, event planning etc. they will offer needed equipment and technical training to the apprentices. After the completion of the training the entire set for the period will come up with single business plan on siting a production factory estate for all the aspects of the training they have received, and each trainee will specialize in a particular area within the various occupational and vocational training they have received. The institute will assist the trainees to present their business plan to the bank and the interested Investor to facilitate a loan for the group for them to acquire the equipment and other tools for the business start-up.
The group will be encouraged to form a cooperative society to have a front to be able to access government support whenever the need arises.
